Details

This was built for an office. It was made of ambrosia maple. For those unfamiliar, the dark streaks are created by the Ambrosia Beatle that burrows itself into the wood. You will notice there are small holes in the dark streaks, that is where the beatle entered the wood. They are typically kept as-is to keep is as natural as possible. 

The joints are held together with floating tenons. The brackets underneath are more for decoration than purpose. It was finished with a spray lacquer.
