BLUE OWL WOODWORKS

There is a lot that goes into this name. Originally it was because I loved the color blue and I love owls. The name has changed a bit since its inception, but now it represents a deeper meaning, one that goes back to our first miscarriage and is now a nod to their memory.

It started as a hope that it would be my full-time job and as I began doing more and more woodworking along with further research, I learned a few things. First, I believe in my abilities AND I realized I didn’t want to do all it takes to start a woodworking business from scratch. Second, and maybe more importantly, I loved building and creating without pressure. I was able to work at my own pace and enjoy it. Plus I knew I also wanted to be a therapist and noticed that woodworking became a place a peace and comfort and I wanted it to remain that way.
